The auditory appearance is the mental representation of the immediate sound environment. Indeed, it makes us perceive reality in one way or another. Otosclerosis distorts this auditory pickup due to abnormal bone growth in the middle ear, often resulting in hearing loss.
In this project, we address an issue that is personal and affects our daily lives. Since we were diagnosed with otosclerosis, our auditory perception has changed significantly, leading us to explore new ways of understanding and experiencing sound.
Since the perception of identity is mainly based on visual representation, in this project we intend to decentralize identity, exploring other senses such as hearing, to describe and construct an identity. Through a free translation of sound into another visual form.
